After reading "The Noble Experiment" do you believe in the power of silence? Jackie believed that silence was the most dignified approach to those who hurled insults, hatred and bitterness in his direction. He eventually won the battle. Do you believe that silence is often the best way to cope with conflict, especially when people try to engage you in negative behaviors by inciting you?
I do believe silence is better than words with some conflicts. With others your voice has to be heard or nothing will change. I think that leaving conflict at silence really makes people think about what they did and makes them regret decisions. Other times when a problem is more severe you need to stand up for your self and others or nothing will be odne to help you. In Jackie Robinsons case I thought it was better he stayed silent because if he was seen by other people as someone who is a fighter he would get a bad reputation and he would have been treated worse. Sometimes for me i would stay silent and other times I would stand uo for what I though was right.
